How does shipping work?
We are pleased to provide free shipping in the US on all orders over $50, and in most regions of the world for framed wall art, art canvases, and device cases.
For items that are shipped from our studio in Los Angeles such as signed prints, books, and calendars, international shipping is available at cost (the checkout page will show you the exact rate with no markup). If the check out page indicates that your address is not deliverable, please email us so we can get you the best shipping rate.
Please know that as a small studio, shipping & handling is a significant cost to us. "Free shipping" means that we pay for shipping. Thank you for understanding 💛

Shipping is available for an added cost to all other regions. Please email us with the items you would like to order, and we can set up a custom order with the least expensive shipping rate for you 💛
How long does shipping usually take?
Items typically ship within 3-7 business days. It then depends on where you live, but give it a week for it to get to you. If it is still not there, we will work together to resolve the issue, whether that means resending the order or issuing you a refund.
What is your return policy?
Because our products are made to order, in general we do not accept returns unless a product is damaged. Please carefully consider your purchase before ordering, so we can all help to reduce waste.
That said, your happiness is our priority. Please get in touch with us within 14 days of your package delivery if you are unsatisfied, and we will work with you to make it right.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can use Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. You can also use your PayPal account. Please be ensured your confidential information is encrypted with the highest level of commercially available encryption protection.
What are your sustainability and social responsibiity practices?
Our shop products are made-to-order, use eco-friendly materials wherever possible, and are shipped efficiently to reduce carbon emissions. Read more details here!
Will you be adding more products?
Do you take custom orders?
Custom Art: We currently do not take custom orders. With other aspects of the business taking up more of our time, we have decided not to take on new custom projects for the time being. We will update this section if that changes. Thanks for understanding! It has been an honor to make so many custom drawings for people the past few years 💛
Art phone cases: If you would like a phone case but your phone model is not listed, please contact us for custom order.
Art canvases: If you would like one of our art pieces printed on canvas, please contact us for quote.
What should I get as a gift?
A nice framed print that matches their room could be a great idea! Each art print on our site has a special meaning shared on the product page, so you can also choose a print based on the message you want to share with your loved one :) Here's a Gift Ideas collection for your consideration!
Do you accept wholesale orders?
Yes, we take wholesale orders on our picture books, Let's Go Explore and Alphabet Adventure. We use the Faire platform, which makes the whole process very easy. If you are interested or know a shop that may be interested, please visit our Stockists page.
How do I hang my art?
Framed Paper Prints: Our framed prints can be hung with damage-free picture frame hangers (select the size based on your frame size). They also come with sawtooth hangers installed on the back. Unframed prints can be hung in a picture frame or magnetic wood print hanger (the size should be the length of the top and bottom of your print).
Signed Art Prints: Our signed 8x10" art prints come with an 11x14" mat that fits standard 11x14" frames.
Canvases: Canvases can be hung using Command products like this one, or from the corners by nails. Just make sure to double check the weight and size capacity of the products you are using and if you are drilling into drywall, use drywall-safe screws.

Studio FAQ
How & where do I watch the classes I purchased?
When you purchase a class, you will get a link to make an account in Mimochai Studio, where our classes are hosted. Once you have made an account, you will be able to access the class videos and materials.
As a member of Mimochai Studio, you will also receive:
- Access to our Resource Library of articles, tips, and recommended resources for artists
- A Community Sharing space with the option to post class work, questions, respond to other students, and get feedback from Mimi
The Studio platform is convenient and easy to navigate, and there is even a mobile app to make it easy to access everything on the go.
What's inside Mimochai Studio?
Mimochai Studio is the platform that our classes are hosted on! Inside the Studio, you will have access to class videos, materials, and resources for classes you have purchased, as well as the option to buy additional classes when you are ready. The Studio also includes:
- A Community Sharing space with the option to post class work & questions, respond to other students, and get feedback from Mimi
- A Resource Library of articles, tips, and recommended resources for artists
- Bonus drawing demos
We also have welcome guides and walk-throughs to show you how to get started and get the most out of the Studio. :)
What mediums do you use in Mimochai Studio and classes?
Most of the classes are designed so you can use whatever digital or traditional medium you prefer. You can preview the materials used in each class on the class pages - see all classes here.
We do have specific classes for Procreate (Intro to Digital Drawing) and Procreate Dreams (Animate Your Illustrations) on the iPad. We also encourage you to use traditional materials for some of the exercises in the Drawing Foundations class.
Which bundled class set is right for me?
The Foundations Set ($149, save 33% on a $225 value) is designed for complete beginners through intermediate artists who want inspiration and guidance for growing in creativity, and to build or refresh their basic drawing skills. I have already purchased a class. How do I add more?
We're glad you are enjoying our classes! You can join a new class by purchasing it through our website (standalone or a bundle), or from inside Mimochai Studio.
If you would like to take multiple classes, we recommend our class bundles for the greatest savings. (Please note that previous standalone class purchases can't be used to discount future bundle purchases.) See our bundle options here:
Is a subscription required to join Mimochai Studio?
No, we do not offer subscription memberships. The only way to join the Studio is to join a class. For all of our classes and class bundles, a one-time payment will give you permanent access, so you can go at your own pace and revisit whenever you like.
What's the difference between classes in Mimochai Studio and Mimi's classes on Skillshare?
Skillshare only hosts our classes. It is great if you're looking for access to thousands of other classes, including ours. You can learn guitar, how to cook, how to knit, etc. We love Skillshare for that!
Mimochai Studio is more appropriate if you are looking for community and guidance specifically from Mimi and the Mimochai team.
What's the difference between Mimochai Studio and Mimochai's Patreon?
The main difference between the two is the purpose. Mimochai Studio is a learning community for people who are looking for creative classes, guidance, and an interactive community. It's a two-way sharing environment.
Our Patreon is a way for people to support Mimochai's work and mission. A Patron's main goal is to support our work, not necessarily to learn from us. We thank our Patreon supporters with different perks and share our behind-the-scenes process as a company. We do not post this type of content on Mimochai Studio, unless it is relevant to a topic we are teaching.
Does Mimi provide direct mentoring or advice?
While this is not a mentoring or coaching service, Mimi is a very active host in Mimochai Studio and frequently interacts and answers questions in the community. Unlike many other communities whose main host is a distant figurehead, she enjoys responding directly to members' posts and leaves engaged feedback.
